Bearing Gifts

This Christmas was so swag. My fam definitely knew what I wanted/needed and enjoyed this holiday to the fullest. My older brother got me a new Element backpack to replace my old deteriorating one after years of abuse.

From my younger brother is this Charlestown Chiefs jersey. This is gonna get Newman's Own'd.

Happy Holidays to everyone.

Birthday Presents

So I'm officially 24 today and turning that old comes with some sweet perks like presents. My brothers knew just what to get me this year. First is a Winnipeg Jets Game On Glove. These things are sick! Now I got something to hold my beer in while watching the game.

I was also given a District 5 Ducks Charlie Conway t-shirt. The Mighty Ducks is definitely one of my favourite movies of all time!

"Quack! Quack! Quack! Quack!"

Thanks to all the people who wished me a Happy Birthday as well.

Cal Ripken, Jr. x Yorkdale Indigo Books

Back in March, Cal Ripken, Jr. signed copies of his book Hothead at Yorkdale in Toronto. I had no idea this video was anywhere on the internet until today while I was looking for highlights of the former Baltimore Orioles shortstop. I was so stoked this popped up and now, along with photographic proof, there is video evidence of me actually meeting The Iron Man.

F-cked Up x MTV Live

These are pretty old performances, but for a very brief moment - MTV finally did something loud.

Rising Son: The Legend of Christian Hosoi

McFarlane Toys x Bobby Orr

Since I'm getting a Bobby Orr jersey, I'd might as well grab the McFarlane Toys action figure too in the chase variant sepia colourway.

This figure is modelled after his Stanley Cup clinching goal in 1970.

BTL x A Fistfull of Loonies

Blue Tile Lounge recently released a trailer for their upcoming video A Fistfull of Loonies. I love the inspired theme from the legendary Canadian sketch show The Kids In The Hall. I'm definitely looking forward to this one.

S&J Warehouse Sale Pick-Ups

S&J Sales is having a warehouse sale this weekend on discontinued/vintage products. Basically, items that have not sold in ages. Nothing really seemed appealing for me except for three vintage VHS tapes; Logic Skateboard Media Issues 3 ['99] and 5 ['00] and a copy of Expedition One's classic Alone [2001]. I also grabbed Spitfire patches [3/$5] and Krook3d cups that were also 3/$5.

New Era x Toronto Blue Jays

I forgot placing this up here last week, so I'll do it today. My latest cap for Fitted Friday is the new Toronto Blue Jays cap they will be wearing in the 2012 season. I, for one, like the new logo and think it was a great idea to add more blue into their colour scheme. Sooner or later, I plan on grabbing an authentic jersey when time and money are on my side. If this is making you feel nostalgiac, please check out my Jersey Sunday x Roberto Alomar entry I wrote last November.

The Blog Keys

Happy December everyone! Since the new album El Camino by The Black Keys comes out next week, I thought something relating to the band would be an awesome blog header. Their viral video for Lonely Boy fully speaks for itself and I can never get sick of the song either.
