No Age x Everything In Between

Finally found a copy of No Age's third album Everything In Between at Sunrise Records. Such a great band, I highly recommend checking them out!

Fever Dreaming

DGK x Parental Advisory

DGK's long awaited video, Parental Advisory, has just reached the shops. The release was delayed in Canada since they were in distributor hiatus. As soon as Blue Tile Lounge stocked up, I was downtown in an instant.

Included in this pretty little package along with the DVD is a collector's poster, lanyard, stickers, and 2013 calander all for $10! It was really good on The Kayo Corp. to price the video very reasonably and add a lot of awesome items.

Check out the team tearing up this park.

Here I am few years ago with Jack Curtin [to my right] at a signing in Ajax.

Charlestown Chiefs x Reggie Dunlop [1977]

It has been a crazy long time since I've blogged a real post and an even longer time with Jersey Sunday - considering I've been pinching pennies for the last few months. But it's great to be back doing this and I'm glad to bring back these series of posts with this particular uniform. On deck is my Charlestown Chiefs Reggie Dunlop replica road jersey from the movie Slap Shot. Simply an amazing piece added to my collection.

Made by Mad Bros. Canada, I received this jersey as a birthday gift from my brother a few years ago and recently had it customized in time for the hockey lockout to end. The logos and numbers are embroidered onto the shirt in two layer tackle twill. Being the OCD freak when it comes to uniforms, I wanted it to look exactly as it did in the movie by avoiding the name bar, and more importantly, a foul. Special thanks to Pickering Pro Image for the amazing job!

Starring in the film is the legendary actor Paul Newman as Reggie Dunlop who wore the #7. It was an easy choice as to what number I wanted on the back and sleeves. I have seen a lot of these jerseys sporting a Hanson brother [with the gross name bar] and was suggested other players. But Paul Newman is the man! Enough said.

Directed by George Roy Hill and written by Nancy Dowd, Slap Shot was released in 1977. It tells the story of a struggling hockey club on the verge of folding. To interest other owners into buying the franchise, the team turn into contenders by using violence to win games and fans.

The film also stars Michael Ontkean, Strother Martin, and Jennifer Warren. It became an instant classic among hockey fans and often listed as one of the greatest sports films of all time.

"I am personally placing a hundred-dollar bounty on the head of Tim McCracken... Yeah, a hundred bucks of my own money for the first of my guys who really nails that creep." - Reggie Dunlop

Finally grabbed some new running shoes from the Nike outlet up north. A little outdated, but still a sweet find.
