The Paul Henderson Jersey Tour

The Paul Henderson Jersey Tour is a mobile museum travelling across Canada showcasing the world's most valuable hockey sweater. Worn by Paul Henderson when he scored the game winning goal for Team Canada in the 1972 Summit Series against USSR, it sold at an amazing price of almost $1.3 million. Unfortunately, I missed his appearance, but a very cute rep told me he doesn't sign autographs anyways. I would still love to meet him. The tour is coming to my hometown of Pickering and I hope Mr. Henderson does as well.

The Million Dollar Jersey still looks great after all these years. I have to grab the replica uniform soon.

Vladislav Tretiak was the opposing goaltender during the 1972 Summit Series. He is regarded as the greatest goaltender of all time and his 14 gold medals can prove it. Drafted by the Montreal Canadiens in 1983, the ready and willing netminder was unable to join the team due to the Soviet government's interference. The "What ifs" that must've caused.

Above are the game used gloves and stick Paul Henderson wore with the jersey. Below are other articles within the museum. I was very surprised how well kept they were for 39 years.

This is the closest I'll ever get to my shining moment in a hockey game.
