NxNE x Bad Religion

This passed Thursday, my brother and I caught the NxNE [North by North East] music festival in Toronto's Yonge-Dundas Square. It goes on until Sunday night, but the headliner for the June 14th show was the legendary punk rock group; Bad Religion. It was definitely worth sitting under the hot sun for a few hours because we were in some prime real estate in front of the stage and speakers. Great times were had with other punks in the crowd that included body surfing, mosh pit, and just secondhand stonage. I lost my voice and hearing after that night and I hope I can catch another show just like this in the future. Check out the pics below for what went down at NxNE.

F-cked Up's frontman Pink Eyes was the MC and did a fantastic job. Very fitting too considering it was a very loud lineup.

The first band up was Brooklyn's Trouble Andrew. Very new to me, but very impressive.

The second act was Montreal's own Slaves On Dope. Frontman Jason Rockman got really intimate with the crowd handing out freebies and wearing crazy hats and sunglasses.

Another pair of great punk rock groups; No Use For A Name [above] and Good Riddance [below].

Finally, on to the main event! The pics I took weren't too great considering the intense crowd. I was getting smashed into the guardrail and constantly taking pictures through a cell phone is very annoying since I'm there to see a concert, not film it. Anyhow, here are the living legends known as Bad Religion.

They ended the night with their classic track; Sorrow, which blew the imaginary roof off. Once again, amazing night!
